Buongiorno a tutti.

Premetto che da poco (pochissimo) ho iniziato ad avere i primissimi approcci con questo software (fm12 pro ad).

Devo dire, che uso sufficientemente, excel ma, siccome al mio capo piace FM, sto cercando di avvicinarmi a questo prodotto.

Non lo trovo molto intuitivo rispetto a quanto si dice, magari sono io che mi sto un po’ rinco….. (permettetemi questa battuta), però i risultati ottenuti sono veramente belli da vedere e da usare ma ripeto trovo veramente ostico iniziare ad usarlo.

Passo quindi alla mia richiesta di aiuto.

Dovrei creare una soluzione a questo problema e cioè :

· Parco attrezzature, dove ogni attrezzatura rilevabile con matricola e composta da n pezzi (definiti poi articoli)

· Listino prezzo articoli pezzo per pezzo con relativa foto

· Per ogni attrezzatura elenco degli n articoli da sostituire con i relativi prezzi

· Preventivi;

o Per ogni singola attrezzatura

o Per il totale dei lavori.

Tali rilevazione le immagino vengano effettuate con un portatile al momento davanti alla Attrezzatura stessa, quindi vorrei che una volta davanti all’oggetto, verificando quali articoli bisogna sostituire, quindi una multi selezione di n articoli (articoli che possono essere anche doppi, tipo attacco Dx e Attacco Sx), venga richiesto a quale attrezzatura ci si sta rivolgendo (quindi matricola) e ta da, esca fuori il costo finale, alla fine di tutto il costo dell’intera operazione per quante saranno le attrezzature da riparare. (wow speriamo bene)

Adesso non chiedo che mi si venga fatto il lavoro per carità, però qualche anima buona che mi indicasse passo per passo cosa e come farlo.

Allego le immagini di come ho creato la tabella del listino, almeno quello spero di averlo fatto bene.

Hi,

I need to keep track of my customers' Deposits and i cant find the best way to do it.

I am currently using Excel with money in and money out.

It would be great to have the balance per customer as of today date plus the amount total of deposits.

Hi,

I am a newbie to Filemaker (FMPv11) and am working on creating an asset management database (used for managing a tape vault where we can track the location of an asset based on it's barcode information). I'm having trouble figuring out a specifc field behavior and am hoping you can help point me in the right direction. In my solution, our staff needs to be able to enter an asset barcode number into the primary key field. Once commited, I'd like the field to be locked so users can't accidentally modify the data. I however, need a way for them to be able to intentional override the lock if they need to modify the barcode # (we often need to modify the barcode to use our client's barcoding convention instead of our internally generated barcode). I envision it working this way:

User enters barcode# in primary key field

After field is commited, field is locked

If user tries to enter the primary key field again, a dialog box opens up asking/confirming they wish to edit the field data. If yes is selected, user is allowed to mofify field data until commited again.

Any help on how to set this up would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone!

Is there any way to format the numbers display in charts?

I can't find a way to show the thousand separator and/or number of decimal numbers. In a chart showing the total sales the numbers are quite long and difficult to read. (see picture)

This option is easily available in FM12, but not in FM11. Any suggestion on how to do it?

Hello everyone... I have installed Filemaker Pro 12 on windwos 7 OS system computers, and out of the 7 computers only one is giving me an Error code.

Here is what i am getting...

Error 1935. an Error occured during the instalation at assebly component {6D321E57-3E99-3B87-BF23-2CDFF331CB4} HRESULT: 0x800736B3

I also included a screen shot of this error, does any one know how to fix this? Please help!

Trouble with relationships / relational data

Hi!

I'm sure there is an easy solution, but I have not been able to figure out this problem.

In short: I have a table with a relationship to another table, based on the name of the athlete. A field then displays the matches that athlete participated in. That's been acomplished. What I haven't been able to do, is set other fields to the proper value, based on the specific match. What is happening, because the tables are related based on the Athlete's name, is that it is only displaying the value for another related field (for example, number of touchdowns that athlete had in specific match) of the first matching result, based on the name, from the main table.....

So, how do I specify that the value of a field is linked to the specific match? I have not been successful for several hours, and ANY help is tremendously appreciated!

i have a data base that a guy on here helped me create, i made the layout how i wanted but for some reason when i create a new record and go to add a folder(if you download the file you will see what i mean) it will not add it...now i need the customer/foler/art info to all be linked but since i cant create a folder nothing works....also he created a last accessed layout(which i want) but it doesnt seem to be working properly and im still not understanding the stuff seen in image...thats from the last access layout.

I've designed a database with a field for MAC addresses that validates an entered MAC address as XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX with any letters CAPITAL. The auto enter calculation is:

The trouble is that when I scan a MAC address barcode to look it up in find mode, there aren't any colin's in the string of numbers entered. We know that the MAC address scanned is "valid", but we need to enter colins every two characters, or else the find turns up no records.

Is there a way to validate (or modify) this MAC field entry prior to executing the find?

Need help creating "related" list

Okay, this should be simple enough but I'm just not coming up with a good way to do it. I want to basically import word lists and then easily compare them.

Basically, I'd like to import a list of words and all their synonyms and then be able to see which one's share common synonyms. I've got all the words and their synonyms already in an excel file.

Any ideas on the best way ti execute this. Your experience, ideas and wisdom are much appreciated.
