    "Show Libraries/Fields Pane" option stopped working

    Greeting all.....

     

    I am navigating through the "newness" and quirks of Bento2.  The latest problem is that the "Show Libraries/Fields" option stopped working.   When try to use this option (View/Show Libraries/Fields) nothing happens.  It seemed to be working fine yesterday.

     

    Anyone have any idea what I might have done?

      Hi ChuckR,

       

      Thank you for your post.

       

       

      I actually just came across this same issue with another user last week. I provided some steps that resulted in a resolution for that user. See if these same steps work for you:

       

      1) Quit Bento if it is open

      2) Navigate to /<UserHomeFolder>/Library/Preferences/ and move these two files to the trash:
      com.filemaker.bento.plist
      com.filemaker.bento.plugins.plist 

      3) Navigate to /Applications/Utilities/ and run the application Disk Utility

      4) Select your Macintosh HD off on the left side once in Disk Utility and then click the "Repair Disk Permissions" button in the right side of the window

      5) Once repair disk permissions is complete, Quit Disk Utility

      6) Launch Bento

       

      After going through these steps, tell me if you are still encountering this behavior. Please also let me know if you have any further questions that come to mind as you go over these instructions.
