After typing address into email field the address disappears and the field remains blank

Thank you for your post.
If you create a new Email Address field and enter data, does the data remain in the field? If so, then the original Email Address field may be damaged? If not, then switch to another Library, add an Email Address field and see if you are able to enter and retain data?
Do you sync with Bento for Mac? If so, does the data remain in the field? If so, then remove Bento for iPad from your iPad, connect to iTunes to download a fresh copy of Bento for iPad, launch Bento for iPad, remove all Libraries except the Address Book Library, tap the gear/wheel icon in the upper left corner and tap "Sync with a New Computer". Go through the syncing process on the Mac.
