Default PICTURE Field question

I am using Bento 4 for Mac

Not able to figure out how to add my photos to the default PICTURE field. It shows a lock symbol next to it in the fields list, indicating that it is locked. I've tried dragging a picture from my iPhoto library to this field with no luck. Intuitively, you would think that because this field is labeled "Picture" that you would be able to associate a picture with it.

Hi,

Anyone know a way of moving a column of fields in Form view and keeping them in a column? When I try this they re-arrange themselves into a line.

Also, it would seem that simultaniously resizing multiple fields only works when the fields are at the right-hand side of the form (for a column that is).

Hi

Ive just downloaded a trial version of Bento 4 but the link to video tutorials doesnt work - when i click on link a page opens saying: 'No matching items found'. I really need the tutorials being completely new to Bento and with very limited experience of databases.

Hi,

I'd like to move a library (say my Book List) to another Mac folder. Can I do this? Can I make an alias for a library (say an address list) that might reside elsewhere (e.g. my desktop) for quick reference?

I just created a database for Mac Hidden Object games that we own or are on our wish list. One of the fields I created is a basic URL field where the entry would be the page at, say, Big Fish where that game is described. Once in my form, there is a drop-down list button to the left whose choices are Home Page, Home, Work, Other, Custom. Nowhere in the help or a search online can I find any information regarding the purpose of this dropdown list or how to get rid of it.

Secondly, in the Fields pane at the lower left is now a field called "URL List." Again, no info in the Help or online about what this field does or why it's there.

Okay, so perhaps my third question about these fields relates somehow to the others: I would like to have not only the game's info page, but also list the URL for the game's walkthrough page. Do I have to create a second URL field or can these two pages be part of a single URL field, controlled by a list?

Any help or links to further details would really be appreciated.

I love using Bento for my personal use, and now I am in the process of trying to incorporate it with my small business. I need for 3 Macs to be able to share the same database. I noticed on the main Bento page, it says "Please note that network sharing is scheduled to be removed from future versions of Bento for Mac." Do I need to look elsewhere? Any suggestions?

I have 2 libraries I need to link. I have an IP and Name table in Library 1 I need to link to Name and address Library 2.

So when I bring up Name in Lib2 the IP from Lib1 shows up.

IF someone know how to do this kind of link Please let me know.

I would like to be able to minimize the window to any size I like on my screen. At the moment, there seems to be a minimum size beyond which the window cannot be reduced. I often am looking at one window in another application for the data that I input into Bento. It is cumbersome to toggle back and forth. I don't care if minimizing obscures some fields on a form, etc.

I have an issue and I'm wondering if there's any resolution within Bento.

My company took over a neighboring space in our building, so I want to change the work address for a *lot* of contacts. I have two problems:

1. Bento doesn't ever seem to display the info of multi-line street addresses. In my Address Book, the address is "123 Main St, Suite 5", two lines of information. Bento displays this info as "123 Main St" everywhere: I can't find a view that shows me the Suite number of the address. I can search on the suite number and find all entries that contain it, but I can't find a single view that shows that info to me. For something that touts contact organization as a major feature, that seems odd.

I can edit the information if I start editing the street name, and then arrow forward: then it shows me the second line of the street address. But wow... really?

2. I'd like to change "Suite 5" in all of these entries to "Suite 1". I can't find a way to search and replace that text. This seems like perhaps one of the main things a database of contacts should be able to actually do.
